Markel Jones of South Florida won the men's 60-meter hurdles final in 7.68, also breaking the track record. Florida A&M's Joseph DeRosier had earlier broken it in the semifinal when he ran 7.74. Indiana's Trelee Banks won the men's 200 meters in a time of 20.91 seconds. Banks has run 20.77 already this winter. Yahnari Lyons from Howard won the women's 200 meters in 23.62, Rodolfo Sanchez, a graduate student at Loyola Chicago who was competing unattached, won the men's 3,000 meters in 7:59.13.
