The Big Ten runner-up indoors and outdoors in 2025, Williams ran a new indoor best of 45.84 on Friday at Chicago's Gately Center at the Wisconsin Windy City Invitational. Reigning NCAA weight throw champion Taylor Kesner threw 22.25m (73-0) to win the women's competition and score a season's best. Her mark moved her to No. 8 on the NCAA list. Wisconsin's Jason Swarens, competing unattached, won the men's shot put with 20.38m (66-10.50). Makayla Hunter won the women's shot put with 17.66m (57-11.25). In the men's mile, Archie Noakes plunged under the four-minute barrier for the first time and won race in 3:56.76, good for No. 4 on the all-time Badgers list. Teammates Matan Ivri was second in 3:57.89 and Liam Newhart was third in 3:58.43. Irvi and Newhart moved to No. 7 and No. 9, respectively, in school history. Wisconsin's Kylie Finger won the women's mile in 4:40.57. In the men's 600 meers, Henry Risser won in 1:17.48 with teammate Zion Omotesa second in 1:17.61. Indiana's Catie McCabe won the women's 800 meters in 2:09.35. Teammate Nola Somers Glenn won the women's 600 in 1:32.58. Abdullahi Hassan of Adidas won the men's 800 in 1:45.92. In the women's 60 meters, Janaree Kinchen from Florida A&M won the final in 7.34 seconds. Tennessee's Cole Cramer won the men's 60 dash in 6.65. The Badgers also swept the top three spots in the men's 5,000 meters, with Johnny Livingstone winning it in 14:00.31. Micah Wilson and Nick Gilles were a couple of seconds back. Wisconsin's Sara Mlodik won the women's 5,000 meters in 16:30.73. Nathan Nelson of Wisconsin won the men's pole vault with a new PR of 5.17m (16-11.50). Purdue's Seamus Malaski won the men's weight throw with a new best of 21.57m (70-9.25). Alesandro Cardoso-Williams from South Florida jumped a new best of 7.59m (24-11) to win the men's long jump.
